A new month is almost here, and while October will see lots of new horror content premiering, true crime fans also have a lot to look forward to. All month long, a variety of true crime documentaries and docuseries will make their debuts, and there are interesting stories being told, some which you may have never heard of.

Unsolved Mysteries, Vol 5 (Docuseries) – October 2 (Netflix)
Unsolved Mysteries is back with an additional four episodes featuring perplexing cold cases and supernatural events that’ll keep you guessing. Can you solve a mystery? This volume features everything from unresolved murders to alien encounters. Unsolved Mysteries is from the creators of the original docuseries, Cosgrove/Meurer Productions, and 21 Laps Entertainment, the producers of Stranger Things.
Dateline: The Smoking Gun (Docuseries) – October 3, 8 p.m. ET (Oxygen)
