Season 3 of Netflix‘s hit YA series Heartstopper officially wrapped production in December 2023 and fans are eagerly waiting for an announcement of when to expect the newest season. After premiering on April 22nd, 2022, the series became a massive global hit, securing a season 2 and 3 renewal from Netflix shortly after. The Heartstopper cast have also been busy working on other projects with a few expected to premiere in 2024. Here are 5 upcoming projects to look forward to which will star the Heartstopper cast.

Agatha: Darkhold Diaries – Joe Locke (Charlie Spring)
Joe Locke is now officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with his upcoming role in the Disney+/Marvel series Agatha: Darkhold Diaries (previously titled Agatha: Coven of Chaos). The highly anticipated series is a spin-off of WandaVision which will center around Kathryn Hahn‘s character, Agatha Harkness. Rumors have been circulating that Joe will play Billy Maximoff/Billy Kaplan, the son of Wanda Maximoff (played by Elizabeth Olsen in WandaVision).

Joining Joe and Kathryn in the series are Aubrey Plaza (The White Lotus), Ali Ahn (The Diplomat), Maria Dizzia (School Spirtis), Sasheer Zamata (Home Economics), Patti LuPone (American Horror Story), Miles Gutierrez-Riley (The Wilds), along with other WandaVision actors including Emma Caulfield Ford (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Debra Jo Rupp (That ’70s Show), Asif Ali (Don’t Worry Darling), and Kate Forbes (A Dark Place).

While the plot and nature of Joe’s character is still under wraps, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is expected to premiere on Disney+ in Fall 2024 (likely October).

A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow – Kit Connor (Nick Nelson)
In 2022, it was announced that Laura Taylor Namey’s New York Times bestselling YA novel, A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow, would be adapted for film. Maia Reficco (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin) will play the lead, Lila, alongside co-star Kit Connor who will play Orion, with Kate del Castillo (La Reina del Sur) cast in an unknown role.

The IMDb synopsis for the film reads: “It follows Lila as she leaves her life at her Abuela’s Cuban bakery in Miami to spend the summer cooking at her Aunt’s inn in London.” Poduction took place in the summer of 2022 in Yorkshire, England, and the film is currently in post-production status. There is no word yet on a release date.

The Green Frog – Corinna Brown (Tara Jones) and Cormac Hyde-Corrin (Harry Greene)
According to IMDb, two Heartstopper cast members are cast in the film The Green Frog, which is currently in production. Corinna Brown is cast as Carrie, and Cormac Hyde-Corrin as Bill. There is not much out there about the film besides it being written and diretced by Khushik Mangal and the synopsis which reads: “Three separate interlocking stories which take place on one eventful evening at a cafe which no one seems to want to be in.”

To the Girl I Once Knew – Rhea Norwood (Imogen Heaney)
Our favorite ally has been cast in the upcoming film, To the Girl I Once Knew, written and directed by Ludovica Musumeci. The cast also includes Amelia Eve (The Haunting of Bly Manor), Stella Lelouch (The Reunion), Frances de La Tour (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire), Calvin Demba (The Rig), Amanda Abbington (Mr Selfridge), and Oriane Pick.

The synopsis via IMDb reads: “Gabi’s dream life in London couldn’t get any better, until her boyfriend Mike asks to move in together. Yet Gabi is hiding a secret which could now threaten everything she has built. Then someone unexpected arrives to help.” The film is listed as in pre-production, so we probably won’t expect to see this one any time soon.

Svalta – Sebastian Croft (Ben Hope)
Sebastian Croft can soon be seen in the serial killer thriller film Svalta which is written by and stars Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead). Croft and Frost star alongside Aisling Bea (This Way Up) and Maisie Ayres (Silent Witness). The synopsis reads: “A family’s vacation to a remote getaway takes an unexpected turn when they discover the island they’re on is inhabited by a serial killer.” Production wrapped last November in Tampere, Finland and is now in post-production. We might see this hit our screens in late 2024, but there’s no confirmation yet.
