A few months ago we wrote about 5 upcoming movies starring Outer Banks cast members which included Uglies (Chase Stokes), Knives Out 2 (Madelyn Cline), Time Cut (Madison Bailey), The Crusades (Rudy Pankow), and Hellraiser (Drew Starkey). But there are so many more films the cast have and continue to work on that we just had to make a part 2!

Bae Night: The Little Black Book – Carlacia Grant

Outer Banks newcomer Carlacia Grant will star in the feature film Bae Night: The Little Black Book, based off the series Bae Night (2016-), which will officially drop this year. The logline from IMDb describes it as: “Alexus of Bae Night Fashion and Tony of Baenight.com, two couples who appear to have it all together, but things are not what they seem to be for the Robinson’s. A web of lies, and deceit begin to tear into their marriage.”

The cast also consists of Sandra Justice (Bae Night series), Genji Jacques (Bae Night series), Jaiden Kaine (Luke Cage, Hidden Figures), Bryan G. Thompson (The Cell franchise), Amanda Jackson (The Night Shift) and Olga Bespalenko (Chateau Vato).

Beautiful Disaster – Austin North

Austin North will star in Beautiful Disaster, a film adaptation of the YA book by Jamie McGuire. North’s co-stars are Dylan Sprouse (Banana Split, The Curse of Turandot), Virginia Gardner (Runaways, All The Bright Places), Rob Estes (Melrose Place, 90210), Libe Barer (Sneaky Pete, DuckTales), Samuel Larsen (Glee, After) and Ethan Embry (Empire Records, Grace and Frankie). Sprouse will play Travis who “is exactly what college freshman Abby [Gardner] needs and wants to avoid. He spends his nights fighting in underground boxing matches, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. But Abby wants nothing to do with Travis.”

North will play Shepley, Travis’ cousin and best friend. Production took place in Bulgaria in October 2021, and wrapped up in December. While there is no release date, there may be a chance that we could see this film debuting in late 2022.

Chocolate Lizards – Rudy Pankow

Rudy Pankow will play the lead role of Erwin Vandeveer in the indie dramedy film Chocolate Lizards which is based on the novel of the same name. The official logline according to IMDb is: “After blowing his first big acting job in New Orleans, Harvard-educated Erwin Vandeveer (Rudy Pankow) finds himself stranded in Buffalo Gap, Texas, where he is taken under the wing of irrepressible, almost-bankrupt, oil driller Merle, who sees Erwin as his “Savin’ Angel.” The two set off on a crazy fun-filled adventure to outwit the bank, the sheriff, and a corrupt oil company in a frantic race to hit pay dirt before Merle’s dreams are foreclosed.”

Pankow will star alongside Thomas Haden Church (Spider-Man 3, Sideways), Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix franchise), Bruce Dern (Nebraska, The Hateful Eight) and Julio Cesar Cedillo (Narcos: Mexico, Sicario). Production wrapped in Texas in late Fall 2021, so we maybe could expect to see it be released in late 2022.

Strangers – Jonathan Daviss

Jonathan Daviss will star in Netflix’s upcoming dark comedy film Strangers that has a PACKED cast. Daviss will star alongside: Austin Abrams (Euphoria), Alisha Boe (13 Reasons Why), Maya Hawke (Stranger Things), Camila Mendes (Riverdale), Cassady McClincy (The Walking Dead), Paris Berelc (Alexa & Katie), Ava Capri (Love, Victor), Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones), Talia Ryder (West Side Story) and Rish Shah (To All The Boys: Always and Forever).

Directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Hawkeye, Someone Great), Strangers is “a subverted Hitchcock-ian dark comedy featuring the scariest protagonists of all: teenage girls.” It will follow Drea (Camila Mendes) and Eleanor (Maya Hawke) as they team up to go after each other’s bullies. It is in post-production so there is a chance it will hit Netflix sometime this year.

The Other Zoey – Drew Starkey

Drew Starkey will star in the rom-com The Other Zoey alongside Josephine Langford (After, Moxie), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone, Morbius), Andie MacDowell (Groundhog Day, Cedar Cove), Heather Graham (Boogie Nights, Austin Powers) and Patrick Fabian (Better Call Saul, Special). The film will follow Zoey Miller (Langford), “a super smart senior in high school and uninterested in romantic love” who has her life turned upside down when Zack (Starkey), the most popular boy in school, gets amnesia and mistakes Zoey for his girlfriend.
