We previously wrote about 5 upcoming movies starring Outer Banks cast members followed by a part 2 in 2022. Many of those films have already been released, or are close to being released, but there are so many more projects the cast have and continue to work on that we just had to make a part 3. Here are 5 more upcoming movies starring the Outer Banks cast.
5lbs of Pressure – Rudy Pankow
Rudy’s been busy with filming and he already has 2 other films in post-production due out soon. His newest project which is also in post-production is the crime thriller 5lbs of Pressure which also stars Luke Evans (Nine Perfect Strangers), Alex Pettyfer (Magic Mike), Rory Culkin (Under the Banner of Heaven), Charlie Rawes (Willow), Julee Cerda (Blindspot), and Fahim Fazli (68 Whiskey). “Trying to start over, Adam (Evans) searches for redemption as he returns to his old neighborhood to put to rest his demons while the brother of the man he killed seeks revenge.“
Beau is Afraid – Julia Antonelli
Julia landed a role in Ari Aster’s (Hereditary, Midsommar) upcoming comedy dark comedy film starring Joaquin Phoenix (Joker), Parker Posey (Lost in Space), Nathan Lane (The Producers), Amy Ryan (The Office), Kylie Rogers (Yellowstone), Michael Gandolfini (The Many Saints of Newark), Patti LuPone (American Horror Story), Stephen McKinley Henderson (Lady Bird), and Zoe Lister-Jones (Life in Pieces).
The highly anticipated movie was supposed to be released in 2022, but due to post-production delays, it will be released on April 21, 2023. There isn’t much known about the storyline other than a vague IMDb description: “A decades-spanning portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time.” It isn’t clear what role Julia will play, but according IMDb, she will portray ‘Teen Elaine’, so maybe this will include flashback scenes.
Big George Foreman: The Miraculous Story of the Once and Future Heavyweight Champion of the World – Deion Smith
Sony Pictures recently released the trailer for the George Foreman biopic, Big George Foreman: The Miraculous Story of the Once and Future Heavyweight Champion of the World. The sports drama will be released in theaters on April 28, 2023. The cast includes Khris Davis (Judas and the Black Messiah, Atlanta), Jasmine Mathews (The Tomorrow War, The Man From Toronto), Sullivan Jones (Harlem, The Gilded Age), Lawrence Gilliard Jr. (The Deuce, The Walking Dead), John Magaro (First Cow, The Many Saints of Newark), with Sonja Sohn (The Wire, Shaft) and Forest Whitaker (Godfather of Harlem, The Butler). Deion Smith (Kelce in Outer Banks) will play Roy Foreman, Foreman’s brother and manager.
One Fast Move – Austin North
Austin is currently filming a motorcycle racing movie called One Fast Move starring Eric Dane (Euphoria), K.J. Apa (Riverdale), Maia Reficco (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin), and Edward James Olmos (Mayans M.C.). The movie “tells the story of a discharged soldier who seeks out his father to help him with his dream of racing Supersport motorcycles.” It’s not known yet what role Austin has, but Dane will play the father of the discharged soldier played by Apa. It is still in production, so there’s no speculation or word on when to expect a release date.
Valiant One – Chase Stokes
The military thriller movie Valiant One will star Chase Stokes alongside Lana Condor (To All The Boys movies), Desmin Borges (You’re The Worst), Daniel Jun (The Expanse), Callan Mulvey (Outlaw King), and Jonathan Whitesell (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina).
According to IMDb, the synopsis reads: “With tensions between North and South Korea, a US helicopter crashes on the North Korean side, now the survivors must work together to protect a civilian tech specialist and find their way out without the help of US military support.” It is now in post-production and wrapped up filming recently in Vancouver, Canada, so there’s a chance we could be seeing it on screen in 2023.
