We previously wrote about 5 upcoming movies starring Outer Banks cast, but they aren’t out just yet. So, while we wait for them (AND for season 3!), here are 5 films you can currently watch featuring Madelyn Cline, Chase Stokes, Jonathan Daviss, Drew Starkey and Madison Bailey.

Boy Erased (2018) – Madelyn Cline
Madelyn Cline plays Chloe alongside Lucas Hedges in the 2018 film Boy Erased which also stars Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe, Joel Edgerton and Troye Sivan. Based on Garrard Conley’s 2016 memoir of the same name, Boy Erased follows the son of a Baptist preacher who is forced to enter a church-supported gay conversion program.

Dr. Bird’s Advice for Sad Poets (2021) – Chase Stokes
A recent film, Dr. Bird’s Advice for Sad Poets is about a 16 year old boy (played by Lucas Jade Zumann) who seeks advice from an imaginary pigeon therapist to cope with anxiety and depression. Chase Stokes plays Martin and the cast also consists of Taylor Russell, Jason Isaacs, Lisa Edelstein David Arquette and Tom Wilkinson.

Age of Summer (2018) – Jonathan Daviss
Jonathan Daviss can be seen in 2018’s Age of Summer which definitely has similar vibes to Outer Banks. Set in 1986, Age of Summer is about a teenage boy (played by Percy Hynes White) who tries and fit in with the Jr. Lifeguards of Hermosa Beach.

Love, Simon (2018) – Drew Starkey
Drew Starkey can be seen in the teen romance-drama Love, Simon where he plays Garrett. He’s often in scenes having lunch with Simon (played by Nick Robinson) and the rest of his friends.

Discarded Things (2020) – Madison Bailey
Madison Bailey stars in the 2020 film Discarded Things which follows an esteemed music professor (played Karen Abercrombie) who is ejected from her academic world and thrown into teaching at-risk youth.
