We were joined on the Popternative show by Madison Elise Rogers who reprises her role as Lindy opposite Timothy Dalton in Season 2 of the Western series, 1923. A prequel to the Yellowstone series from creator Taylor Sheridan, Season 2 of 1923 premiered on Paramount+ on Sunday, February 23.
Madison also shares the screen in the series with stars Helen Mirren, Harrison Ford, Brandon Sklenar, and Jerome Flynn. 1923‘s cast also includes Julia Schlaepfer, Darren Mann, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Michelle Randolph, Jennifer Carpenter, Sebastian Roché, Jamie McShane, and Isabel May.
“It was incredible; working with these actors that I have respected my entire life really and the crew was unbelievable. It was such a warm and inviting set,” Madison says on her time working on the series.
In the second season of 1923, a cruel winter brings new challenges and unfinished business to Jacob (Ford) and Cara (Mirren) back at Dutton ranch. With harsh conditions and adversaries threatening to end the Dutton legacy, Spencer (Sklenar) embarks on an arduous journey home, racing against time to save his family in Montana. Meanwhile, Alexandra (Schlaepfer) sets off on her own harrowing trans-Atlantic journey to find Spencer and reclaim their love.
Madison also reflects on preparing for her role which included turning to Sheridan’s other projects: “Right before I started working on this series, I watched 1883 [another Yellowstone prequel], and I thought it was a masterpiece, I had never seen anything like it. It was exciting to me, I knew I was coming into this really incredible world and it made me more excited to be part of [1923].”
