Scream VI slashed its way to the top of the box office during its March 10th opening weekend earning $44.5 million at the domestic box office and making the sixth installment the biggest opening ever for the Scream franchise.

Following the events of last year’s Scream, the new film finds Sam (Melissa Barrera) and her sister Tara (Jenna Ortega) along with Tara’s friends/twin siblings Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown) and Chad (Mason Gooding) attempting to start over in New York City and trying to put the traumatic events of Woodsboro behind them. But Ghostface isn’t done with the surviving four yet and has other deadly intentions in mind.

Hayden Panettiere and Courteney Cox return to the Scream franchise as Kirby Reed and Gale Weathers with Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, and Samara Weaving joining the cast.
